How to set up a new LONG owned Android device:
- If the phone is not factory reset, reset it.
- At the first screen in the setup process tap the screen 7 times
- Another screen should pop-up that allows you to scan a QR code.
- Scan this code
- The phone will have you sign into the phone user’s LONG account (user@long.com)
- Answer the prompted questions (setting up a password for the device etc)
- When you get into the phone swipe up to see the apps installed.
- You should see two profiles below the apps. There should be a “personal” and “work” profile.
- Select the work profile.
- Intune company portal should already be installed inside work profile.
- If its not already installed, install it from the play store inside the work profile.
- After you sign into company portal it will have you follow some more prompts to check the device settings.
- Click through all the company portal prompts.
- When you get into company portal app you will see three tabs at the bottom. Click on the devices tab.
- Find the device you are on and click it.
- Under “device settings status” it should say complaint. (note: sometimes it takes up to 24 hours after setting up company portal before the device will become complaint.)
- Once the status says “complaint” you can go into the playstore that is inside the work profile and download work applications (Outlook, teams, mobile tech).
- Sign into work apps.
- Done.
