Description
TeamViewer Quick Support is an application that lets people see your screen on your phone. This is used by IT to help troubleshot issues on your phone.
Issue
The support technician (IT Department) gets the following error while trying to connect to your device.
"Your partner rejected your connection request" - this happens even though the user is selecting "Allow" the connection.
Solution
This is because special permissions are allowed for the TeamViewer Quick Support application to work correctly.
To setup the special permissions do the following (this will be a little different on various phones and android versions)
- Open Settings
- Select "Apps"
- Select "Special Access" - on my S21+ this is done by select the three dots in the top right. This brings up additional options.
- In Special Access there should be one named "Draw over other apps". select this. I have found on various phones this is accessed another way and you may have to hunt for it.
- In "Draw over other apps" find QuickSupport (this is TeamViewer Quick Support) and turn this option on.
- Make sure QuickSupport is closed and relaunch it. I usually just tell the user to reboot the phone.
- After this then you should be able to get the connection to work correctly.
